Description
The final year of the course begins with social and military historians before moving into the ancient world and discovering where the dinosaurs went. We then journey around the world finding out about the stone and bronze ages, including Stone Age Africa and Bronze Age Greece. A trip to learn about elves, dwarves and land spirits with the Celts leads to a lesson in Middle Age climate changes and the famines that it caused – an important lesson for pupils to realise climate change isn’t just a modern day issue. We also take a peak at Tudor schools and interview some famous Victorians on our mock TV show. This year 6 courses finishes up by investigating voting and elections in early twentieth century Britain and finally finish our Adventure Through History journey by selecting our favourite eras we have studied.
Chronology is still very much at the heart of this course. Children will be making mock CVs and apply for various historian jobs, they go to Ice Age Fashion Week, take part in Roman’s Got Talent and much more. There are so many fun and interactive activities for children to enjoy.
